As children sit at the feet of Christ, at Kids in Faith Sunday school each Sunday morning, they hear His words and begin to see Jesus in their own reflections more and more each day. Children of all ages come and grow through fun inter-active learning experiences and hands on ministry. It takes time and a commitment from both the child and the parents to allow this process of “becoming Christ-like” to occur through the work of God’s Holy Spirit. Here at Medina UMC Children & Family Ministry, we are called to walk through this process with you and your child, to identify the gifts they receive for service in Christ’s name and to teach them how to use them in an effective way. With Christ, children are free to become the best versions of themselves.  That’s when they “become" the best they can be and who they are called to be in Christ Jesus. What a blessing and a joy it is to serve a risen Savior in the world today!

At Medina UMC, nothing is more important to us than the safety and security of your children.  That’s why we’ve chosen KidCheck as our children’s check-in solution to bring you the best check-in experience and keep your children safe.  KidCheck is now available at Medina UMC in three different ways:

Check in early with the KidCheck button on the home screen of our church app
When you arrive, you can collect your sticker at the welcome center
Check in upstairs for 1st-6th grade students
Check in next to the nursery for nursery-kindergarten ages (0-6)

Nursery

Ages Birth- 3 Years
Childcare available at the 10:30 a.m. service with special curriculum for toddlers- age 3.

Kids in Faith- Preschool

Ages 4-Kindergarten
Kids in Faith meets every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM in the preschool wing of the church.  The kids love learning about God in a hands-on way!

Kids in Faith-Elementary

Grades 1-6
Kids in Faith Elementary meets every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM on the second floor. We minister to all kids in Grade 1-6.   There is never a dull moment at Sunday School! 

MOPS & MOMSnext Kids Club

Birth-6th Grade
Join us on the Third Thursday of the month from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. We use Awana and Orange Curriculum. We meet while our moms are enjoying time and fellowship with each other. Generally, on the third weekend of the month, we meet in the community for a fun-filled fellowship.

Route 66 Bible Study

Grades 3-4
The Bible Study meets each Sunday, from September-May, at 10:30 AM in room 208. This ministry instructs students on the use of the Bible. The Road map of Route 66 Curriculum (66 Books of the Bible) assists them on their journey. 

Vortex

Grades 4-6
Vortex meets twice per month on Sunday nights from 6:00-8:00 PM in room 206. Students can join the group as they go out to fun events like sled riding and putt- putt golf once a month and on the other Sundays, when activities are at the church and are generally mission, service or game- based. 

Kids Christmas & Easter Musical Rehearsals

Age 5-6th Grade
These rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. In the fall, students practice for a Christmas Musical (performed for the church in December) along with seasonal crafts and snack time.  

Summer Kids in Faith

Preschool- 6th Grade
Students enjoy a VBS style summer Kids in Faith beginning the first Sunday in June.  Students will enjoy a special worship time, science class, bible stories, and crafts.

VBS

Age 4- Entering Grade 6
VBS is held the third full week of July 16-20, Sunday- Thursday from 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.

Grades 1-3

Monthly meetings from 11:45 to 1:00
September-May
Devotions, craft, activities, and friendship circle to build community amongst the kids.
