The Rev. Dr. David J. Tennant, M.Div., D.Min.
|
Dr. Dave is the Senior Pastor. He is a graduate of Youngstown State University with the B.A. degree in Social Science, Asbury Theological Seminary with the M.Div. degree, and also Fuller Theological Seminary with the D.Min. degree. His work at Fuller was motivated by a deep passion to help the local church become a revitalized, healthy enterprise devoted to reaching new generations for Jesus Christ. Dr. Dave underwent training through the Beeson Institute for Advanced Church Leadership in the Fall of 2000. Throughout his ministry, Dr. Dave has served on various District and Conference Committees and task forces for the East Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Dr. Matthew D. McClung, M.Div., D.Min.
|
Dr. Matt is the Associate Pastor. He is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with the B.A. degree in Psychology, Duke University with the M.Div. degree, and St. Mary Seminary with the D.Min. degree. His doctoral focus was on Small Group Ministry and regaining our Methodist heritage of doing church this way. Dr. Matt organizes and leads the Youth Ministry program, helps to oversee the missions programs of the church, helps to lead the Small Group Ministry, and performs other pastoral duties. He is especially involved in missions work with The Evangelical Methodist Church of Costa Rica. Dr. Matt serves on the Canal District Missions Committee, the East Ohio United Methodist Volunteers in Mission Committee, and is a member of the North Central Jurisdiction United Methodist Volunteers in Mission "Mission Discovery" committee.

Cindy Bricker, Director of Christian Education
|
Cindy holds the B.S. degree in Child Development from Ohio University and the B.S.Ed. degree from the University of Akron. She manages the development and growth of the Christian Education program for MUMC. Cindy advises and/or conducts various church-sponsored programs and activities including Sunday School, Small Groups, Wednesday Night Community, and Vacation Bible School every summer.

Susan Hume, Director of Visitation & Program Assistant

Susan is currently a student at Ashland University with plans of continuing on towards the M.A. degree in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. Susan is a Certified Candidate for ordained ministry in The United Methodist Church. She supports the Senior Pastor through the performance of administrative duties and general ogranizational tasks. She assists in the development of church programming and lay ministry. Susan also visits the shut-ins, hospitalized, and new visitors of the church. She is the primary staff resource person for the Congregational Care Team.

Judy Gorsek, Director of Medina Weekday Nursery School

|
Judy holds the B.S. degree in Child and Family Community Services from the Bowling Green State University. She brings 12 years of teaching experience to the Medina Weekday Nursery School along with her previous experience as director in Sylvania, OH. She has a passion for administration because it offers her the ability to make a larger impact on families, staff, and children. She is very supportive of the school's developmental philosophy and encourages learning through play. Her focus continues to be on the belief that each person is to be valued as a unique child of God.

Mike McClintock, Coordinator of Music Ministries

Mike holds the B.M.Ed. degree from Bowling Green State University and the M.A. degree in Teaching from Marygrove College. Mike has been a music educator in North Royalton, Medina, and Hinckley, OH. Mike has a wide range of musical capabilities and interests which help him to provide diverse worship experiences for everyone.

Nancy Schneider, Organist

|
Nancy is the Organist for the 8:15am and 11:00am worship services. She received the B.M.Ed. degree from Grove City College and the M.A. degree in Education from Ashland University. Nancy has been a music educator in Berea and Strongsville, OH as well as in Henderson, NV. She has also served as an Organist and Choir Director at other churches prior to Medina United Methodist Church.

Judy Robinson, Office Manager
|
|
|
Judy provides secretarial duties to the pastoral staff and chairpersons of church ministry teams. As Office Manager, her primary responsibility is to coordinate the overall function of the Ministry Office ensuring effective and up-to-date communication with church members as well as with those seeking a church home.

Susan Ziegler, Secretary
|
|
|
Susan primarily serves as Secretary to the Associate Pastor. She also serves as the support person for the Christian Education program. Susan maintains the church membership records and also makes sure each person who contacts the Ministry Office, either by phone or in person, is made to feel welcomed and cared for.
