Members of the Mission Commission, Sunday  School Teachers and Sunday School Student in grades 1 - 6 have been involved with this organization for the past 10 to 12 years.  Collected contributions vary from year to year but generally are in the range of $ 250 to $350.

The United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is the leading children’s organization in the world.  It was created in 1946 to meet the emergency needs of children after World War II.  Today, UNICEF works in more than 160 countries and territories around the world to provide children with lifesaving medicine, proper nutrition, clean water, education and emergency relief.  In 1950, a group of young people in Philadelphia started the “Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF” program by collecting money in empty milk cartons for children in need.  Since then, “Trick or Treat for UNICEF” has raised more than 119 million dollars for children in need.  More than 33,000 children die preventable deaths every day.  An estimated 7 million children are saved every year due to the efforts of UNICEF and its partners – YOU!
