MUMC has supported Beth Ferrell with a Covenant Relationship since about 1990.  She first served in Mozambique, Africa and is now in Sierra Leone.

Beth is a nurse with advance training in the medical field.  Currently she is helping to restore our United Methodist medical work after 10 years of civil war in Sierra Leone.  Much of her effort is spent on training local rural women as community-based rural health care and development workers.

She has visited our church several times; has given messages on Missions at the 8:15 and 11:00 a.m. services; presented evening programs and stayed in the homes of several of our church members.

Information about her work has been featured in our newsletters and on our Mission bulletin boards.  Letters from Beth are posted on the North entrance bulletin board from time to time.

As a Covenant Relationship missionary of our church, we pay $2,500 annually toward her support.
